I just joined this flowerchat tonight. I filled out my profle and them when I went to members and clicked on my website link it went to some sex website. So I went into edit my profile and put in another URL we have and it did not update even though I clicked the right button. Help! How did this happen?:confused:

Boss, I am Patty from floristboard. We are in Hazel Park, MI. My husband and I are in Iron Messengers Christian Motorcycle Club. My husband just got his first Harley in November. He is going absolutely crazy waiting for spring. Just got 589 miles for break-in on it than into storage. Florida looks better and beter every year. (SMILE) Glad to see ya all over the place! Patty :p

There are probably many Lunatic Fringe's as well as many Lunatic Fringer's too!!
That all started on Brian's Florist Board last year; a Lunatic Fringer is one of us who is more open minded with regard too new ideas etc. The sigma 7 is a reference to a psychilogical (sp?) state; both refer to being more on the edge. Many of the newest ideas are espoused by those who "dare" to go to the edge.
Now, Patty, I've been wrong before (at least once or twice!!) so maybe I've opened a new "can of worms" and you just might get other differing opinions from others here. The Sigma 7 idea was explained better by David L on floristboard.com

Oh, I see! Thanks! My husband just told me lunatic fringe is a song. It is quite a catchy nickname, label, idea, whatever....

About the ministry. We go to various biker events and rides as a club and just hang out and talk to people. We share Jesus with those who want to hear. We are not Bible-bashers or pushy. We love people and especially bikers. We help out in anyway we can. The secular bikers welcome and accept us. We just acquired a clubhouse and had our grand opening last July. We have AA meetings there, NA meetings, Bible study, Prayer meeting, Movie Night, and a Sunday Night church service. We are small and fairly new. You never know what avenue your life is going to take. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think I would be married to a biker and become one too. And biker florists??? Reeeeeaaaally? You've got to be kidding. It is pretty hilarious when my husband tells people he works in a flower shop. He is 6'5" and 350 lbs. Big, burly guy, long hair, tough guy look. We also frequent other clubs' functions. One club called "Hells Our Home" sponsors dinners once a week. Someone from our club tries to go every week. Sharing a message of hope to people who have no hope is the best thing in the world. Thanks for the interest!:cool:
 
Your husband is correct; Lunatic Fringe is a song by Tom Cochrane some 15 yrs ago when he was "Tom Cochrane and Red Rider"; I'd forgotten about that even though I listen to it frequently; even my 14 yr old son likes it! Go figure!

Welcome to the ride Lady Biker...some of us boast a Harley, and some a 10 speed...but, you'll notice right away, that NONE of our modes is in "reverse".
We ALWAYS try to move ahead, and it's nice to have you on the florists' highway (Life is a highway) also Tom Cochrane!!

I be in Midland, a couple hours north of ya...Hmmmm...might like to talk to ya'll about the "club" thing after MD...once it be time to RIDE again !

If ya do go to FL...stay ouuta Daytona...head to the KEYS...THEY ROCK !

When the loonie wasn't so poor I visited both Midland and Hazel Park. Michigan is a beautiful state.

Welcome Patty to you and yours...it is a GREAT board with diverse people, ideas and opinions...all those things which make us interesting and terrific. :)
