Lori - on your original introduction, there is a little button, bottom right, with scissors on it. This is the edit button - it allows you to edit your posts if you forgot something. Or you could reply to your original post, and just have two posts in your thread.

It takes a while to get the hang of this place - look around when you have a chance!
