Hi, my name is Esther. I'm a recent graduate from the Floral Design Institute in Seattle,WA. I have received certification in both beginning and advanced training as a florist.
Before this I was a 27 year employee with a commerical airline in this area. I went from flying to flowers....love the flowers
Also back in the day I receive training in a local flower shop where I was introduced to the unique flower industry.
My husband and I are attempting to open a small studio flower shop that is attached to our home. We have a business license and live in a un-incorpated area and not required to be zoned for business as this time.
In the process of designing a web page..
I was referred to this site from the owner of the flower school I attended.
You are all so talented. Thank you for sharing so much.....

Welcome, please look around and join in the conversations.
There are many threads on building and maintaining your website and it's rankings.

Esther, welcome to Flowerchat. It really is a great place to share and learn.

I have only one comment about your intro... you are waaaay to young to use the expression, "back in the day"!!!

V :)

Thanks for the post. I got the expression "back in the day " from my 11 year old granddaughter who uses it all the time when she is referring to anything beyond yesterday.
One question...How do you know when you've been accepted as a member of Flower Chat?

I know... my daughter uses that expression too... and she's not 11! ;)

I figure it should only be used by people born in the early 20th century.

Welcome!

Hi Esther,
If you look at the top left of your screen, it says "Fower Chat Community". Click on that area, and it sends you to the forums pages - a listing of all the individual forum topics. You want to scroll down to the Tech area, and "website development" forum. It will show several pages of posts from the last 30 days I think, but there are years of posts in there. To get to all of them, once you're in the fourm, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to "display options" and click From the "Beginning" and it will show you pages and pages and pages of information.

Have fun, it's a great resource!
