I saw the trailer link posted by SAF I think....I wasn't real impressed with it. Seemed kind of sleazy to me. I know shows need to be "sexed up" for ratings, but it just seemed a bit over the top. We'll see.

Anil is a doll, and one of my husband's former students. Eddie is a friend of nearly 20 years, one of LA's most successful, talented florists (and a former student of Phil's school, too.) Russ Philllip is the son of one of Chicago's Phillip's Flowers owners and his Dad and 2 sisters have also attended my husband's school.

The show is produced by a company that also created Rupaul's shows. It's on LOGO so it's sure to be edgy.

I saw the trailers and they're definitely saucy. Am really looking forward to seeing the individual episodes.

Will they portray florists the way we want? Probably not. I'd rather have some good exposure for what we do - than none - which is where we've mostly been.... completely under the radar.

I remember you mentioned this a while back, that the show had contacted your husband.

I agree completely that the exposure will be great for the industry. Anything that garners attention from a large population is bound to cause talk and interest in what we do. I don't think anybody would be interested in watching if they saw "real florists" at their everyday tasks, it's only dramatic to us.

It is my understanding that when these "reality" shows are produced, they are not, in reality, reality......there is take after take and many suggestions on how it could play more dramatically. Too, if a camera did not catch something good enough, it's a re-do.

I just hope it lasts long enough for people to start thinking flower power!

I love reality TV so I'm really excited. I wonder if I get the LOGO channel. Im hoping I get that channel.
