I've been turning them away for years, the worst are the TFHQ calls, after the order has already been refused twice over the dove, I still get several calls from TFHQ for the same order , even after I beg to be taken off the call list, I still get yet another call (from India I believe) for the same low-priced order!:wallhead:

Yes, for some it is, but for some (me) I took the incomings if I could make money on them...now I don't care if they send me $100.00 for a single rose...I'm not doing it!

Talked to two local shops today that are closing EOM...like I said a while back... I'm playing to be the Last Man Standing...I just hope I can outlast the rest! I'm tired...

I got the same order for a city 40 miles from here FIVE times from justflowers.

Last one I told them I wouldn't bother rejecting again. They stopped

I'm friggin beat too, and we got 2 more days of it to go. No we got Monday - mop up day - "my flowers didn't look like the picture"

Aww well, shoot while the ducks are flyin - then take the summer off!!!

That's our rule also. It's fairly easy to enforce since we don't have a WS, except IFA where the rule does not have to be enforced because there would not be any such requested delivery.

Our new rule is that ..to OG " if you do not reply to our request for $ 25 more in money adjustment" within two hours then we reject. We can do it also just like FTD is doing to get answers in a timely manner at a price...we are in a major incoming are so just not taking the order does not work...too many shops too many oldie goldies and yes we do get business from them that we would have never realized had we not taken the order in the first place...we just have tighter criteria now.
Funny thing is that on most orders yesterday we got what we asked for so we raised it from 15 to 25...

Amen, sister! We got a bunch of .com order, I've filled none of them. I asked twice for price changes, didn't get them so they just automatically get rejected. If we don't get full value for the order, we don't fill it, end of conversation - and I can enforce that because we have the tech to deal with it almost immediately.

Hmmmmm Not sure if they tried calling us or not. I know that we got a couple calls, (I didn't take them) and I heard the girls tell them They were so sorry, but we couldn't deliver that far, so they might have.

I think Blodgette is about Halfway between us. The closest shop would probably be Shonnards. We only deliver to the bottom of Cline and that's a $20 delivery fee. (Should be more) We only do it because it's the sweetest little lady that lives out there and her family orders for her for every Holiday. A few months back they had a 50th wedding anniversary and we had 6 family members order for her and hubby. If I remember right those orders totaled around $350. It's one of those "customer service" things... LOL... Gotta take care of that sweet little lady
But with the price of gas... I don't know that we'll be able to keep doing it. Since I grew up out there, I feel bad for all those people... but what can you do?
