Just wondering if anybody has heard anything on this? Reportedly (mentioned by two different people Teleflora people) that the new 500 image book/digital images, will be out the tell end of October/first of November.

In Teleflora presentation conference call with Marie Akerman (sp?), she mention (not promised) that there might be raw funeral home backgrounds available that we could use to add to the sympathy images, to make them have “natural” backgrounds. This came up, as I questioned the Teleflora policy for white backgrounds on sympathy images (current sympathy images on the New MyTeleflora with white backgrounds ....had previously had "natural" backgrounds) especially if you put casket sprays on white backgrounds. Anyway, I would be interested to see if anything like this will be available.

Please, thread on this subject only....and not that I should be wire free and post hundreds of my own images :):)....thank you in advance.

Hi Clay,

I was just at a Teleflora sponsored show yesterday, and they also said that the new book would be coming out in November.

Wow, a raw funeral home background? What a great idea, nobody mentioned anything like that.

I have yet to use them, but I did shoot in all 3 of our FH's... a simple wood casket, closed...

Been thinking out doing this for our own sympathy images that we take....but besides the obvious like the casket in the room, place empty pedestals (different sizes/heights) on each side of the casket as well. How did the casket spray images turn out for you when you cropped in the flowers on the funeral home casket?

This is kinda morbid.

It is amusing as well. Grieving people wanting to see how the spray will look on, or standing by the casket.

You would think they could just see a beautiful spray and say they would like something like that.

Kind of reminds me of one of those remodeling software where you lay out your rooms. Then select couches, chairs, tables, accessories and stuff to render a 3D view.

You select your background, your casket and then poke pictures of sprays ontop and beside the casket.

You gotta show the person in the casket, to make the picture complete.

Probably would be best to ask them to send you a side profile picture of the deceased and you can put together a jam up funeral floral elegance. LOL

I have a lot of people concerned about the size of the spray. I don't know if they've seen something that was just too tiny or what, but they are really concerned.

Showing it on a casket gives them the size reference that they seem to need.

way too many people can't "see" even if the photo is right in front of them. (sorry Clay)
I have heard a new book was coming out but no details

Clay, yes there is a new book coming out...That is all I know and the fact that there are 11 new everyday containers for the book, only available from TF at an average of 7 bucks cost each...have not heard anything about the backgrounds for photos...

They did mention that the web books will be done away with and we will now get add in pages for the book..and that some of the non-sellers were done away with and some of the best sellers were rehabbed and made more today!!
