My Name is Mary Beth. I have been in the industry since 1989. I opened my own shop in 1996. I love what I do and what is happening to our industry makes me really angry. i joined this chat room to find ways to bring the customers back to the small shops and protect them from the "brokers"

Hey Rhonda, I'm full service, hate weddings though. Love funerals. Lately have been making custom pieces, harley davidson, umbrellas, cabooses. Sooo fun. My favorite sign says "You name a price and we'll make it nice". I have a couple of sites- Most viewed is fsn.com/maesplace, custom site: maesplace4flowers.com (links to fsn), flowersinroselleparknj.com(freesite w/officelive) and freewebs.com/maesplace
 
Victoria, Read some of your other replies. You're tough. Glad you weed out the bottom feeders. I have a couple of sites: fsn.com/maesplace, maesplace4flowers.com, flowersinrosellepark.com and freewebs.com/maesplace. My shop is located in downtown Roselle Park, I have about 800 sq ft of space and two small coolers. And I am registered with the state of NJ. I love the challange of being a florist and my favorite customers are the "just because" customers. Look foward to "chatting with you"

I never thought of my replies as tough... but, I guess if that's the perception. The concern is to keep Flowerchat a place free from folks who don't have a deeply vested interest in business (bottom feeders is not my term).

I'm glad you're here and look forward to learning more about you too. :)
