Hello Victoria- I have just started this business about a year ago. I do pay taxes. And the business is registered with my town. I do not have a floral cooler and "so far" deem it an unnecessary expense. I do not do a lot of business at this point, and I am very close to the wholesaler. I can get the flowers the morning of the wedding or a day or two before depending on their need for hydration and warm temps. I have pretty much taught myself. I always had a good sense of color combinations and textures so this has come easy. A designer where I used to work taught me a lot about basics of wiring etc. When she left the owner let me take over as designer/ manager of their shop. I had lots of fun and learned from what went together well and lots of design magazines and books. I now work at a wholesaler part time. This is where I have learned the most about product handling, availability, and where it all comes from. I am still learning and this looks like the place to do it.
