Business: Tillie's Flower Shop

Location: Wichita, KS

Type of Business: Retail Florist

About Me: Currently I am in the sales end of the florists business. Customers are who I work with as well as designers, delivery and everybody else here at the shop. I was told to join this website to find a good design school to go to. The shop I work at is great, but not much room for moving up in the business. If there is anyone who would like to suggest good schools I would appreciate it greatly! I am 20 almost 21. I take my own flowers home and make my own arrangements for friends and myself. I am quite serious about going to school and making this a career. Thank you.

Welcome!! Good Luck with your goals!! Since you are in Kansas, are you looking for something local to you or are you willing to go somewhere else?

I would prefer to go somewhere else. I already know there isn't much in Wichita, besides tech schools, which here are not good.
 
Well I'm biased...I'll be honest!! LOL I took the distance learning program from Floral Design Institute I think it's great since with my hubby's schedule this was the only way. There was no way I could fly to washington for a couple of weeks. Although that is an option...they do have 2 campuses where you can study. check them out...they have a calendar of classes available.
 
Yea, I took a 3 day class from Phil Rulloda, best money I have spent on my floral ed.
I took a master designers advice and invested the time and money, Thank's Pam, you were right.If I could I'd love to go to his design school, have to catch that one on the fly.
Oh, and guess who shared my table, CONNIE!! I was so glad to see some one I knew, felt like a new kid in class, till class started, this man never made any one feel as they didn't belong.
