Our website address is teleflora.com. I've been with Teleflora since February 2009 and have no formal floral education.

I happened across FlowerChat and thought I could learn a lot about how florists use social networks by following conversation here. I can contribute to discussions on using the internet for marketing and public relations. I work at Teleflora's LA office.

Hi Nicole & welcome.

What is your position at TF, or what type of work do you do there?

Also, had you been in the floral industry at all prior to your most recent position? If so, what type of position?

Answering these & other questions that may arise will help expedite the membership process.

thanks!

:)

Tracy-
Oh! I thought my title would show; I'm helping with their digital strategy and am an intern for the time being. I had not been in the floral industry, I was actually in the automotive industry (quite a change! big steel things to soft, nice smelling things, lol)

I will say this......you being an intern and fairly new to Teleflora if I understand correctly.....You will need to develop some THICK skin.....because the Wire Services and their advantages and/or disadvanrages cause quite heated debates.

At the very least........You should PAY ATTENTIOn to all discussion. You might benefit or learn things you either did not know or be able to give information that we do not know.

Thanks for the welcome

Thanks, everyone, for the welcome and the tips. I had read through some of the threads before registering to get a feel for what I was getting into, so I have some idea. ;)

As for participating, I'll probably ask lots of questions and will do my best to answer questions directed at me (though being an intern, we'll see how much info I'm given to be able to fully answer questions that may arise here). So far people here have been very open with me, but I don't know where to turn yet internally to get answers to questions, so I'll do my best to muddle along.

Thanks again, and I look forward to learning a lot!
