We are purchasing a flower business currently. I am trying to gather as much information about this business as I can and hope to be a contributing memeber of this forum in the future.

The shop has been in business for over 20 years
We have no formal floral education
Found FlowerChat via google search

I hope to contribute my experiences in purchasing a business that is barely breaking even and turn it profitable
We will be operating from a commercial location.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in our community! I have a couple of questions..

I know you said that you have no formal floral education, so will you be managing exclusively, or designing and managing? Do you have any related retail or design backround?

Please tell us a little more about your descision to purchase a retail florist (why a florist?).

I love your optimism regarding turning around a barely breaking even florist into a profitable entity! What is your timeline for this, and how do you plan to do it? If you can share your magic plan with us, all of us who are struggling right now will be all ears (sorry for the sarcasm, it's been a slow summer)!!!!!

I don't mean to be nosy, I just want to better understand where you are coming from. Thanks!

:) Welcome and like Amy I have a question or two (one actually)... what posessed you to buy a flower shop if you have no floral experience? I would love to know your motivation. And like Amy, this question is tossed out there for interest and I thank you for taking the time to respond.
