Griff a funny one for you...

An order went out today to NC but the florist said their accountant said they have to charge Sales Tax but the next breath was they would offer us a 20% discount!.

This math is getting harder and harder! LOLOLOLOL! Folks if you want to charge me sales tax and on the next breath offer me a 20% discount...well you need to go back to school and kick that teacher who taught you that math. :hammer:

Ya know...

For years and years we have been exchanging "F2F" orders with NO PROBLEMS, and all of a sudden....

Wonder if there is some one out there spreading lies.... what ya think ??

If it comes to Newfoundland , we will give you the sending florist a discount , but the province and federal governments have a "Harmonized sales tax" or HST ( locals call it the "Horse @@@@ tax") of 15% that we have to charge on all orders. If you qualify to get it rebated back you have to apply with your receipt to the tax authority. We don't have a choice ,by law, all bills and invoices have to have the sales tax shown on it.

Yes I understand that canadian tax issues are completely different than the states. It just boggles my mind that our tax codes written here in the states are all the same with just different wording yet somehow accountants scare their clients into thinking the tax boogie man is gunna get you.
