Here is a new OG. At least new to me, don't remember having seem them before. Found them doing a specific city search. They do make their add look like they are located in your city.

The site is seen here and it's a proxied URL showing an FTD template site through reachlocal.com. The 'real' URL displayed, www.flowerfactoryusa.com says 'under construction'.

The data displays a Tarzana CA location which happens to be the home of http://www.theflowerfactory.com/ Striking to me is how the OG site is consistently priced higher for the same arrangements as the 'local' version.

Looks like ReachLocal.com has a partnership with FTD to assist placement and tracking for order gatherer ads. *shakes head*

Yes, Reach Local has been working with FTD florists for a little more than a year, I think.

The program is designed to help local florists run a managed CPC campaign. It's been very effective for a lot of shops, helping them compete for local business while managing their spend. CPC is a scary world for those who don't know it well.

It's sad to see this being abused by an OG like this.

I deal with them all the time!

Met them personally at the FTD convention in Orlando (owners), I was not aware they were an OG, because I call them direct for them to fill my orders.
At first before I had met them I had been receiving lots of orders from them over the merc in 04 (valentine's mainly) and had suspected they were an OG, but after meeting the 2 men that own the shop, seeing picture of them at the shop with a design they had done I then realized they might not be. So when I had to send an order there, I called and they accepted it. My customer is a dear friend so I had her ask the recip what shop name was on the envelope or the card stationary and it ended up being The Flower Factory as they made and delivered the arrangement. Correct me if I am wrong........ But if a shop sends and fills orders , chats with you on the phone (with me that's a good 45 min or an hour!), is that not a real florist shop?

I do know they send alot to the Houston area because of the advertising they do over the web. When they find a particular florist they deal with and like your style, you end up getting orders all over the place in your town, I have only had to call one time and ask for more funds for the delivery, but other then that the money amounts are high dollar orders.

Have a merry christmas!
