Was just pondering an order I filled not too long ago..
Nice lady (of a certain age) came into the shop to place an order for her best pal who was having surgery...apparently breast reduction. We got to chatting and she was impressed with our "creativeness" etc and so on. With a huge twinkle in her eye she asked if I'd be willing to do something different for her friend.....of course yes?
She leaves and returns with one of the MOST busy-looking bra's that I've ever seen!! Screaming red lace that just has to be giggled at!
We decided (ya, the royal we ) to fill up the cups so to speak...with flowers!!
and yes, there were two wee red sweetheart roses to (ahem) top things off!!!!!!! I was getting a bit nervous at this point and was wondering just how I was going to deliver it to the hospital with a straight face and HOW was the recip going to react!!!!
All ended with huge smiles and many many giggles. They are both great customers that can always be counted on to push the bra so to speak! ha!
Was wondering what odd and unusual stuff all of you have been asked to come up with?? We do get to have some fun in this business eh?
Best in Blooms to all!

For "Congratulations on Your Vasectomy" we did an arrangement with anthuriums and placed 'X's' of bandaids beneath each spadix. (Delivered to a residence since the procedure is done on a out-patient basis.)

For a "50th Birthday" we did 2 arrangements in small matching urns. The first was labeled "Before 50" and featured a large bankia with two fresh kiwis placed at the base. The "After 50" featured a scrawny horse radish with two prunes tucked at the bottom. (Again, delivered to a residence - this time for a party.)

I'd have to think twice before sending these types of items to some of our business customers.

The bra sounds like a fun project. :)

Same idea

Customer came in and requested 2 large fresh mums in off white color with one single red rose bud in the center. Mums wired to stay together. His friend was having implants done! He took it with him, we didn't deliver.

We have also had valentines day balloons delivered with lingerie attached.

Several years ago, a friend of ours had hemeroid surgery so my wife made up an arragement that included toilet palper, band aids, etc. When we took it to him in the hospital, I tried to sneak in a bottle of Jim Beam, but immediately after we got in his room, six nurses followed us in, each carrying her own cup. I guess I wasn' very sneaky.

OMGosh Cathy, you have made my week! lol lol lol TY!! I have to pass this on to the girls at the shop!! lol lol lol
