Is it just me - or have they changed the adhesive on the clear vase tape? It doesn't stick as well as it used to - and it's really noisy coming off the roll! Please someone say they've noticed this too - otherwise I'm for sure losing it...

yes, I did sort of notice that too. And it used to have a little more "give"

Noticed a while ago that it was not sticking. Thought it was the containers had something on them...

Nope... it's the tape.

I use regular clear scotch tape, I have found it works better than oasis tape...never did like that stuff...I just make sure to dry the vase really really good.....before applying the tape...on the occasion that I use it...

We clean the top of the vase with a little windex before taping. There is some kind of residue on the vases that causes it to slip off. The tape may have changed too, not sure.

Probably got a batch of old tape.
I always grid. I have a new system.
I first wrap the top of the vase with the thicker 1/2 clear tape,
then make my gridding with the 1/4 tape, them rewrap the neck of the vase with the 1/2. Works like a charm.

What do you guys use tape for?

I will use tape to tabe down a clear lomey to a martini glass or make a grid on a very squat cupe with minimal product in it...I don't use tape for much...I am not a huge fan of gridding my vases, but I do use clear tape on any lomeys with foam....because as much as I don't like to use tape, I hate to be able to see tape when I do use it....

clear oasis tape

It is funny how you were talking about the oasis tape not sticking well, I do think it is residue on the vase. My daughter (co-partner) and I were just talking about this tape. There is a florist in our area that cannot design with out a heavy grid made from oasis tape ( lots of tape). Customers have brought in vases they have recieved with an arrangement inthem. The florist used so much tape that it left a very heavy residue of glue from the tape. It basically ruined the vases taking of the finish of colored vases and a mess on all the other vases. We tried to remove the residue with soap and water also tried Goo Gone. What a mess. Icannot believe they cannot arrange without it. I always make a grid with different types of greenery it works fine,I have been doing this for years. But we also have a shop in our area that still use shredded foam in clear vases??????????????
