I used the green powder foam for a wedding today and really had a lot of trouble keeping it from seperating and keeping the water from looking murky. I ended up dumping the excess water out and just setting the lemons and limes on top. At the set up I could still see the murky water on the top of the oasis. Any suggestions?

Did you mix it with water in a separate bucket/container first?

I have used it and found you really have to err on the side of caution when adding water......then when you put it in the vase, you really have to pack it down really good.

yeah, I mixed it in a bucket first and let it set for a few hours thinking it might expand more over time. I really felt it was quite dry. Kinda like dry mashed potatos. I love the color but probably won't use it again.

ditto, watched a demo using it in margarita glasses and they packed it into a plastic cup added water and mixed in the plastic cup until it was packed with water, drained off excess water then put it into the glass. It is a fine line between saturation and excess water showing up on the top or not saturated enough to hold stems.
I've practiced...The pics look fine tho!

I like the powdered oasis...but in order to make it right it has to be packed down in the container tight then add the water slowly till it is right to the top of the oasis...we have used 2 colors in the same vase to create rings...I haven't tried to wet it first...but will give it a shot.
