Hi all. Hope everyone had a sucessful Valentine's Day. We are going through our inventory and came across some clear glass octagon shaped containers we have had for a little while now. Have you ever used them and what did you use them for? I believe we got them when a florist went out of business. They are only about 2" high and have a diameter of about 4". I'm looking to create some sort of small cash and carry item, not anything too expensive or high style looking. Thank you!

Could they be used as votive candle holders? Or maybe since they are so low, as a single floating bloom container?(I'm picturing a water lily/gardenia)

Is this like a low bowl?

We do a special with them. For Val. Day we put a bud vase in the middle of them (bud vase had two roses and stem of oriental lily) and then fill in around them with Hershey kisses. We then take clear cellophane and cinch it right below the opening of the bud vase and tie off with ribbon. We called them "Love and Kisses" and they were really popular! Good price point for cash and carry.

You could alter the candy and flowers depending on the season/holiday. Make sure you use wrapped candy, though. If a little water drips in, you would have a mess.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sandy that sounds cute! Yeah I'd say its a small bowl like. Is there a way where I could post a picture of it? All I can find is posting an image from a website. The picture is just on my hard drive. I would say it is similar in size to a very small cereal bowl. All I can seem to picture is like a flower frog with like iris or tulips spraying out very ikebana like. Our customers don't seem to like the high style look. They want 1)cheap 2)full of flowers. Lately its been the "I would like to send a $20 vase arrangement".....We let them know it will be on the smaller side but we would be happy to do it. Thanks again!

I sent the picture to your email address on your website. I couldn't get it to post. Hope it helps.
