ODD Baby Shower Corsage

Ok this is a new one for me.

Someone requested a baby shower corsage and they wanted a long ribbon going from the shoulder to the pregnant belly with a tiny corsage for the baby.

Ok so we made this very cute as odd as it was and used organza pink and blue ribbon


The customer came in and raised a fuss that the ribbon was used and not a Jute Twine because she wanted it to look like a real umbillical cord.

OMG !!!! And we only charged $19 for this mess !!!

has ANYONE heard of anything like this ???

Um.... did she ASK for an umbilical cord type ribbon, or did she just assume that everyone on the planet is as "out there" as her? Lord. Maybe for an added touch you should have attached a yucky looking balloon... placenta you know. Gross!!!

OMG...I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
There's no way anyone would believe the things that we see and hear. Why a sitcom hasn't been made about this industry I'll never know!

:ylinfant:I just sat here and shook my head when I read this. We really do perform magic for our customers. Up here I'd probably offer to get something that really looked like a cord.... with all the hunters up here there should be something laying around the carcass pile!!!

HA HA !!! NO I am not kidding . This was a serious order.

I actually had sheer pink and blue ribbon with a cute little baby rattle and I had it looking pretty cute.

Untill she brought it back and actually complained that the ribbon didnt look like a cord and she expected me to know exactly what she was thinking in her mind she wanted this to look like.

But the Balloon Idea posted above is a good one !! Wish I had thought of it, I would of suggested it to this customer. HA HA
