To be honest Pam, I haven't been at all depressed about the men's hockey... still really pumped by the women. :)

Hey Pam, you're welcome! I'll pass it along!
With 25 to 50 cms of snow coming tonight/tomorrow I guess there'll be half a million people stranded on George St; hope the don't run out of beer! :> :beer
Now V, you just gotta be a little disappointed that the Canadian Men didn't win the hockey medal.
I think most of our athletes have done their country proud; especially the Women's Hockey team; Cindy Klassen; the cross country skier chic who won the sprint (sorry I c don't know her name) and of course The New Team Canada - Brad, Jamie, Mike, Mark and Russ !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just have to start watching curling more often (but NOT Saturday nights, of course) because I just couldn't believe some of the shots Mark Nichols made - shot 97% for the game!
Let's cross our fingers for Klassen to get a 5th!:)
Rockin on...................

Maybe a titch disappointed but certainly not depressed or crushed or embarrassed or whatever other adjectives that have been so liberally thrown around by the ever effusive media. ;)

I guess my pride is more for the women because they give up so much to follow their dreams... and they do it for little or no remuneration.

I did watch some of the curling tonight (not a big fan) and was impressed by the talent and the heart of the Canadian team. They have much to be proud of... so do we. Our atheletes put themselves out there, win lose or draw, they try.

Well, today it's SNOWSTORM ON! Everything is VERY CLOSED looks like we're gonna get 50 cm or so by tomorrow morning. Gee, I guess we'll have to wait til it melts!! Wheres the friggin' army when you need it? ;)

Get this, now they're giving Brad Gushue a hard time (tongue in cheek of course) because me missed the draw... for 7! http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Olympics/2006Turin/Curling/2006/02/25/1462123-sun.html

The media has dubbed him Lord of the Rings.

Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the skip, Russ Howard from New Brunswick & born Ont I believe, brought important experience that certainly contributed to the teams success. Thanks guys!

Rockin on... watching the snow go by............
