IMPRESSIVE at it's best...Eric Lamaze and his wonderful stallion taking the jump off to win Olympic Gold in the individual round.
Superb!! I just love CBC and their great coverage...
And kudos to the Canadian platform divers.... Emily taking silver, bravo!

Thanks Rhonda... and Ian Miller finally won a medal this time out. He's been at nine Olympics... the most memorable horse was Big Ben, homely but remarkable.

And you're right, CBC excels at what it does.

Oh yes, I watched Ian win his too!!
I have watched show jumping since I was a kid but never attempted it when I owned my horses.
The entire team from Canada has had a great outing!

I've got my own ideas (biases), but what makes CBC's coverage better than NBC's, from an American perspective?

My American friends have told me it's because we tend to cover everyone.

Exactly V....the only reason NBC covered this equestrian round was because Beezie placed bronze...
Other than that you have to watch about 10 other channels (not available to most people without satellite) to get the "obscure" sports the U.S. doesn't usually have strength in.
CBC covers it all....
Example...rhythmic gymnastics not shown .... team trampoline not shown but every stupid beach volleyball game with a U.S team was...
how much beach volleyball (or should I say hard bodies in swimsuits) can one person watch?
I haven't seen any archery or shooting but dang BMX racing??? :boggles:

Eric was riding Hickstead. Ian was riding "In Style".

ditto, I hate NBC coverage. We don't get the obscure sports channels either. So NO Crew, equestrian, canoe and kayak, sailing :(
and we don't like track so the Olympics are over at our house.

BTW how come the lady beach volleyball players wear skimpy little suites and the guys->->->- baggy shirts and knee length shorts. How about some equality??.

And what is up with Bob Costas's hair???

just an FYI, my daughter missed the 3 day eventing and watched some of it online, not sure if it was nbcolympics dot com but I think it was.
