I had a retirement party for Pete on saturday at one of the local watering holes we frequent as there were just to many to have at home. One fellow had a cigarette case . The picture is a album cover, as near as i can remeber it would be from the 70"s i would say but we are dammed to come up with the name of the group.. Its Mona Lisa with a very large joint in her hand. Everyone says yeah we know it but no one cam come up with it . Ok Baby Boomers put your thinking caps on , or dig out old Lp's and solve this thing for me before we all go nuts

Thanks Joanne

I've put out an SOS to a musician friend of mine. I tried googling it, but came up empty. The only Mona Lisa album cover I could find, showed her in flames.

I'm a Gen Xer with google and all I found was this:

Is that the image?

I have a good friend who is a baby boomer who owns a music store I can ask tomorrow.

This is what my friend said: :) He always makes me smile because he plays with words so well.

I believe it was first a poster and then available on T-Shirts. I don't think it was an album cover but I could be wrong.

If it was an album cover it would have been on the album "Leonardo and Stona Lisa Live at the Louvre" or it could have been on their second album "Leonardo and Stona Lisa Rocks the Joint".

A perfect score of ten points for Victoria plus a bonus mark for being so funny.
Well played V.

I have checked every album site on Google and MSN and although the graphics are similar to a lot of the Grateful Dead album covers, I cannot find anything under the "Mona Lisa" listings where her picture was used for an album cover. There is a poster like that but to the info found it was never used except for a poster. I've got a whole school of teachers researching it as well and they can only find the same thing. We're stumped too!

I was told It's not a Graetful Dead album cover.. still looking for you.

Repetez s'il vous plait... pretty sure it never was an album cover. Its only incarnations were as a poster and a t-shirt.

P.S. Thanks Doug. Hearing Nat King Cole sing Stona Lisa will rock the world too. ;)

went to some all things mona lisa web site, and found the poster of that picture. No where in the extensive listing of when and where mona has been does it list it being used as an album cover.
