FTD member from guess where? Vancouver BC
large online presence...received an order for B14-3598 dozen white tulips, no greens, no filler, no ribbon for $45. Their online shop shows a minimum of $74.99 and delivery charge for my zip code as $10.00
Anyone know about them?
 
Do you have a URL ?? FTD code number??

Broadwayflorist.com is in Rockford IL...

comes up as an FTD site but is first page "Canadian" etc.
About us shows no address that I see.

Just talked to the person who sent the order..
He paid $60 for flowers $10 for delivery and $9. Serv Chge.
He's not happy and is faxing me a copy of his reciept on Monday...
I will send flowers to his mom at No Charge....while he tries to cancel the order. I love it...!!!
 
That is exactly what I'm talking about educating the consumer through whatever means necessary.
 
I've been to this shop - very small operation on Broadway, across from the Holiday Inn Downtown in Vancouver.

They are fairly new to the business, not great with english, but they try hard, work late, and aim to give good service.

The son, however, is a programmer who works in his parent's shop - not a florist himself, no great love of the business. Last time I was there he was mirroring the code from their paid FTD site and using it to create his own. I believe he did the same with the TF site. I can easily imagine him doing "whatever it takes" to get orders, without a love or appreciation for the business. His game is the online stuff, it's all about numbers.

We had an order forwarded to them at V-day, that generated a complaint. It took 3 days to get a response from them, and that came only after I tried to cancel the order. Now they are on my blacklist for Vancouver. With so many great shops in Vancouver, there's no point messing around with a troublesome one.

An interesting phone call

Just had a call (caller ID) shows British Columbia
Lady with very thick Asian accent asks if we can deliver to Angela Park.
We have a Pamola Park I tell her, she says "Angelo Park" and tries to say our town. Wants to know if we'll take a credit card for the order. I ask what is the name on the credit card and she tells me it's a gold visa, What name is on the credit card? I can't give out that information she says. She asks if we will fill an order on credit card to which I say not for an order gatherer from British Columbia to which she states, "I'm calling from Miami" (NOT)
She finally hangs up when I ask what is the name on the credit card as I can't process it without that...hang up..
So I did a reverse lookup (4 different sites before it came up) and guess what? Broadway Florists, Vancouver British Columbia.
Are they trying to skirt the wire services or are they sending out Urban-Artisan-whatever they call themselves now?
BTW, I did call the other shop in town to make them aware ...
the number is 604-876-9237

The contact info (phone numbers) for both companies intersects here and there even though they show two different street addresses.

Guess that shows why they are aligned with city-centre-florist also.
duh, I never thought to just plug the phone # in the google search....
