Ontario... so much to see

The flora was in abundance this journey and how my hands itched to harvest the lot. However, it was all well protected by a bumper crop of poison ivy... a whole other itch I didn't relish.

Never been to Tobermory.

I have been on the Bruce Trail near Milton, Ontario. I love the limestome cliffs, the 1000 year old cedar trees.

Being on Georgian Bay, with the rock, the wind swept pines is tonic to my soul.

I have been going to Muskoka for the last number of years, lots of rock, but not as rugged as Georgian Bay.

Doug I do think you would enjoy the whole of Tobermory and the parks leading you there. Flowerpot Island is a jewel and is a trip I'll take again... love hiking there too.

Alana goes to the Muskokas as her boyfriend owns cottages up there... however, her favourite is the "Tub". She wanted to go with me this time, but she was "flat broke" (can't imagine why). While I would have enjoyed her company, I must admit I needed the time to myself. Every now and again I require space to replenish my flagging spirit.

I too enjoy the Muskokas but I prefer the ruggedness and the hiking challenges of the Georgian Bay area.

Everytime I see a picture of Canada I am always reminded of what heaven would look like. I would love to visit as I think it would be the most peaceful place on this earth. The plants are just so dark green and healthy....just stunning. Thanks V
