I had to dig tonight to read the negitive comments made towards me during the past 3 day on this board thanks to the Thread(s) being closed.

First, Hero.. David I enjoyed your theory of Blue being "M" or Shel or Zig or whatever the name game you boy's are trying to prove of being the one with all the MAS hystieria that was spoken on the "other board". Your Scum...

Second, I really enjoy the "other folks" who got behind the Theory of "yea that is who it is". Your Scum also...

Third, There is just too much control within this board within the past couple of months within the Moderators who control WORDS or comments.

Forth, I believe in MY HEART that Mr. Simon never had a chance to get his canada version going with all the dis-information going on.

I remember a time last year when the Host of this board was very interested in Simons System..Right?

I thank you all for kicking the crap out of ME while I was with Family and you were all ATTACKING.

3) It's a moderated board. Every board is ... and yours will be no different. Even the haven of "free speach" Floristboard has had posts edited by the moderator changing the content WITHOUT making any notes that the content was edited.

4) Mr Simon abandoned the Canada project because by his own admission he couldn't make it work. No insult there; RTI, Advantage and others have trouble with it, and Eagle never did work either.

5) Not last year - 2 years ago. The host of this board was interested until he got his hands on a demo version.

I always fall back to truisms I've heard - my grandmere always said 'Politesse oblige' - it always pays to be polite. A good friend of mine says "Courtesy is owed, respect is earned, love is given'. Negative begets negative, I just flat out don't need that kind of stress in my life. I, for one, like the fact that the idea of moderation and the other measures Ryan has taken to stabilize this board.

We've had that happen here also, haven't we?

I "abandoned" the Canada project after realizing that the POS module was not the only thing that needed to be changed if we were going to offer equal versions for the US and Canada. Right now you can buy a semi-Canadian version, if you are willing to forego some flowerSoft features and modules.
Also, we only had 2 members who expressed an interest in the software and one bought it as is.
In addition, since you were always singing the praises of Daisy and how Canadian-friendly it was, we saw no need to keep developing a flowerSoft Canadian version when such a robust one already existed.
We'll see how many copies MAS will be able to sell there.

Uhhh shouldn't that be You're scum, unless you are asking about my scum, which to my knowledge I don't know of any I had. Guess I was wrong, however just kinda fit into the battle and sure sounded like you but with polish.

Sorry I was wrong. Know I know you are the kindler and gentler Shelby, Micheal, Blue et al. I will no longer be posting anything of a jab, poke, or funning with you, you are what we refer to in Louisiana as a "biness man" I will respect you in that way from now on.

The other board is the one that is normally known for being childish and anything but progressive. This is the first time I have seen this board fall in that same trap. Frankly we all be better served if we get back to argueing about improving the industry and takeing back our business. :hammer:

Actually, George is correct....

in my past lives, you do the work and development in markets that will buy your product!!
George only forgets that in the last couple of years, everything has been so confusing and contradictory, that NOT ONE POS platform lived up to everyone's expectations, and to THAT end, George had to make a decision, and give him credit for doing so!!
RTI,Advantage,FlowerSoft, AND Daisy ALL lack the "higher" level of "intelligence" to operate in the Canadian marketplace as a stand alone product, and have ALL had to be re-adapted to work here (Canada)....sort of!!
I'm not sure EVEN MAS accepts debit card transactions here in Canada as part of it's natural platform!!...IF it does, please excuse me!!
We are definitely "challenged" here in Canada, and FEW software programmers are willing to meet that challenge!(for the number of potential users)
Maybe we should add FIS to the tech board (Florist Information Systems)...a platform that was WRITTEN for Canadian users....

My software ( Umm the one I purchased ) has all the Candian GST taxes etc. on my program and the developer has an office in Vancouver. Don't see a need for a Candian product. There is a great one already.

If doing that could get more florists involved here I bet it could be done. I am really surprised there is not a more broader spectrum of people that post in the tech forums. It just seems to the the same group of people.
