Does anyone have a source for orange mini callas? Our brides keep bringing in photos of bouquets that have them. We have tried mango tango but they aren't the same. Any suggestions?

We buy sometimes from our wholesaler, sometimes direct from Sande Callas, Hyperactive Farms or Metz (sells SA and dutch). I usually order Mango, and it is the most orange. Perhaps they are sending you FLAME? This variety is a more burnt orange. I always tell the brides, especially with red and orange callas, that all the pictures are touched up and the colors are changed so that they really POP. I never let anyone sell a RED calla or BRIGHT ORANGE CALLA or refer to a color/variety on the proposal "like pictured in....". A red calla may be burgundy, may be burgundy/red... I don't care what variety. The weather/temp/grower all change each variety's color shade slightly. Once they may come in red red and the next week burgundy red.. same variety, same grower. We can't avoid this. Same thing with orange. I actually think it's growers passing off other oranges as mango, especially in the fall.

In a pinch, try TIGER LILY, JUST FOR FLOWERS Design Master spray. spray it LIGHTLY. Spray multiple coats after it's completely dry. It will brighten an orange or turn a yellow into a very vibrant orange. We did a whole wedding last fall in yellow mini callas sprayed orange b/c there was no way I was about to pay $4 for a Mango mini calla, and barely break even on the wedding. The bride never knew.

I just booked a wedding with orange calas

Try the calla hot shot.. seems to have less of the red or rust mango can exhibit.
Captian Amigo is a yellow into orange. I have never seen a pure clear orange calla, unless it has bee color enhanced. Callas also change as they age and mature, so even in a bunch the colors will vary on many varieties. Remember many photos are subject to airbrushing etc to acheive the look they want. It is tough to get the exact colors.

Thanks everyone. I will remember to tell my brides who bring pics that the colors may have been enhanced. I haven't seen hot shot so I'll check with wholesalers.
