undefinedAlpine flowers wishes to announce a new membership fee to all order gatherers. As of May 1, 2004, any under value - order gatherer order will have to pay a membership fee to us. A fee of $59.95 a month will get your order filled. A valid credit card to activate this membership is required BEFORE ANY ORDERS IS TAKEN. You need to give also 60 Days notice to cancel your membership. It is also our discretion to cancel your membership at any time we feel that you are not participating to our rules. SHould you wish to deal with us please provide your visa card number. Thank you for dealing with us. If you don't want to play by our rules...sorry find someone else to help you. Luc


I wonder what they would say now. I guess I am a little bit luckier since there is only 2 flowers shops in Elliot Lake. I don't think in a big town this would work. THink about it, can it be a possible solution?

Do you charge a per order transmission fee?

What about billing them 7% handling fee?

Oh, and you can apply a sliding scale surcharge for payment on credit card!

Plus, if they want to have access to any electronic means of sending, they should have to pay you a network access fee :)
 
Good idea....with all of those extra fee, it is now..lets say $99.95 a month.

I like it.
Perhaps form local "Order Gatherer Associations" where florists' in an area join to charge the fees similar to how you suggest and the fees go into an area ad campaign to promote local 100% orders to members.
Create a Win-Win situation. The OG gets there order filled by quality florists. We get a potential customer. We get funds to promote "us".
Of course the OG wouldn't support it while there are still those who will fill their orders, but I don't take their orders anyway, unless it can benefit me.

I like the creativity here. Lets keep the ideas flowing.

There is no problem that we can't overcome if we are willing to think outside the box.
 
I like it , I like it, stick it to them ,before they stick it to you , not even Mother's day and in the past 2 days I have already pissed off 4 ordergathers including Floral alliance, Flower club , Ftd. com , calls from both my FTD field rep and my Teleflora rep , wow !! Looking forward to wasting half my week shagging aroung with these unwanted orders, shag em
