Hello everyone! My shop has had 1-800-flowers for 3 years now and was doing wonderfully. All of the sudden the volume of orders has been dropping off and our representative said that it has been because they have been receiving less order in general. Anyone having the same happen to them, or have a different story? They say it isn't our fault at all.

Hope someone can help. Melissa

Look around your town and see if there isn't a fullfillment center..we have one less than 4 miles away..they are registered as a real florist but they are a 800 franchise/filling center.

No LFC here....

I never suspended the Bloomnet...did not have to...very few orders came in the entire week before Christmas...only rejects I did were for under valued orders, and their stoooopid "Fields of Europe" with Red Tulips....none to be had here...

The order volume has been lower as of late. I do pretty well with them even with a LFC within my city, but this holiday I was down on incomings from them...but I was way up on my locals so I was way ok with it. I was also way up with the quality of order coming in from 800-flowers..Far fewer merry mistletoe and single candle arrangement more of the bigger nicer orders...I am happy with how the whole holiday shaped up..I did have to suspend as I kept getting loads of orders the last day for items being delivered 3 cities away and did not have the delivery power to get them out..

Be very careful in asking for more money for delivery charges. If you ask too many times they will red flag you and not send you as many orders. Best thing to do is, only deliver to areas that you can for 7.95 delivery fee and let them come to you to delivery farther away and then you can ask for more money and wont be penalized.

True words of wisdom above

Look into the possibility that " Many " more shops have been signed that could be servicing areas that you serve.
Also look at the possibility of delivery pools.
We have shops 30 to 50 miles away that are getting orders for our town, and we're the only shop.
