Today our driver and friend Charles Guerrie past away. He was admited to the hospital on Sunday and dignosed with Pneumonia. After his battle this week he was removed from the machines this morning at 10:45am.

Chuck came to us back in August of 2006 and was just the best. His little jokes that he would tell us in the morning always kept a smile on our faces. Our customers spoke of him offten and he would always put a smile on our customers faces. The complements that we would get about him we knew we had someone so special working for us. He was a Native American Indian and told us all of his stories of serving in the military. I called him Uncle Chuck and he was very a much a part of our family. I don't think there is nothing to prepare you when you loose an employee. Its been very hard this week to concentrate on the task at hand.

He was just an amazing person and he will surly be missed by all of us here.

Eric,

My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow. May you find comfort and peace in your cherished memories of your dear "Uncle Chuck."

Will you be creating a special floral tribute for his service? Please share with us. My heart goes out to you and your floral family.

It is just like losing a family member because in the best of workplaces, we are family. My sympathies are with you Eric.

Eric -

Hugs to you, Linh and everyone at your shop.

We often spend more time each week with our co-workers than we do our own families. Your expession of his loss in the Everyday Flowers family shows how much you respected him and I'm sure his real family is comforted to know just how much you cared about him.

My heartfelt sympathy and prayers to you and yours, Eric. Sunday, the 6th, marked the 2nd anniversary of the death my precious 23-year employee, second mother, my daughters's "Momalean," and my beloved friend. She and her husband perished in a house fire. May God bring you comfort as you continue to remember and to honor Chuck.

isn't it amazing how ONE person, can have such an impact on the rest of us!! Often we don't REALIZE how important someone IS, until they are gone.
Eric...we weep with you...it's very hard.
Connie, we remember!!

Thank you, Dear Mikey.

Eric, sympathies to you and Linh..it is sad to hear of this loss as the closer we become with out flower family the bigger the hole is when we lose one. My heart goes to you, yur family and Uncle Chuck's family as well.

Thank you, Sweet Sher. I'm hanging on for dear life, and know that God is, and has been, with me throughout. FlowerChat Family's support has been immeasurable.

My sincerest sympathies to you and your family Eric and also to 'Uncle Chuck's' family.

Eric,
Thoughts of comfort from NJ. Spending so much time together, your co-workers really do become your second family. I'm sure his family takes comfort in the fact that you obviously cared for and respected him so much.

Thank you, Friend Tracy.

Thank you everyone.

I just can't believe how things can change so fast. He was in last Friday full of high spirit.

I remember the first time I saw him with his long black hair and his slighly femine voice. I thought linh had hired a girl but to my surprise when he turned around. I remember saying to linh right after he turned around "when did you want to add her to the schedule?"

Funny thing within the first two weeks of him starting he managed to crash a few of our delivery vechicles. I was thinking oh man am I going to be able to keep him?

He worked for Judy over at Hillsview 17th Street Florist for some time and in the beginning he worked for both of us until I asked him if he could come work full time when one of our other drivers left. It was hard to call them up on Monday to let her know he was in the hospital. I know my kids will ask about him soon. I think that might be the hard part.

Thanks again everyone.
