I have been told that the CEO of our local power company is salaried at $6,000,000.00 per year not including bonuses, stock options etc...
The company has the Utilities Comission for a 13% rate increase.
After that I looked up what some of the other CEO's earn omg one of them earned $127,000,000.00.

Is there something wrong with this? Or am I jealous?
Isn't this where Marie Antionette went wrong (let them eat cake)?
Someone please say something to make me understand.
 
My power company warned us that they were going up between 30 - 40 percent at the beginning of '09. That type of increase is insane!!! They said it was because the price of coal had gone up that much and that the power plant that supplies the electricity runs on coal. With that kind of increase, you'd think they were burning GOLD!
 
It's definitely hard to see these high salaries when those of us in the trenches are hanging on for dear life (one of my mom's sayings).
 
Why can't someone invent a way to harness all the power from the people at places like Lifetime fitness, all pumping away for hours trying to lose weight. All that wasted energy. I swear there has to be a way! Anyway, yes it is utterly obscene to make that kind of salary.
At that rate, they are making about $1200 just to take a bathroom break. Nice. Jealous? Not really, I don't think I would feel very good about myself knowing that I'm making millions of dollars for sitting on my fat ass when people are unable to pay their heating bills down the street. Off with thier heads!
