Located in New England. Have a bride who wants Tiare and Plumeria. Is it as impossible to import as my wholesaler claims? Is there are good substitute for plumeria with similar shape.
Thanks

Hi:

First welcome to Flowerchat.

How long have you been in business? Do you have a full calendar of special events and weddings this year? And what prompted you to become an event florist?

V

Rewolf, there are suppliers who import Plumeria from Hawaii, most will only ship to the west coast due to the delicate nature of the flowers, they really only last one day.
If she is looking for something vary fragrant tuberose may work.

Perhaps you could turn her on the the fragances of freesia and gardenias, as an east-coast alternative.
Or perhaps you could convince her to get hitched IN Hawaii and you would be happy to come along as her event~florist heheheh. Now theres a plan huh? lol

Apparently you aren't interested in answering the questions I posed above. I would hope you want to be a full fledged member of Flowerchat so you can avail yourself of the incredible wealth of information here.

If that's not your wish then please advise.

Kind regards.

Oh course I want to be wanted but I'm having a very hard time just figuring out this website. Most of the time I can't make it back to the "threads" section. But to answer your question, I am in an environment of destination brides with my season being May/June through October. I'm only in my fourth year so I have a lot more growth to focus on. I do not have a retail shop I only work events and this year is looking slim with only 15 weddings booked - that's not enough. I'm also trying to figure out how to overcome the low margins. Having said all that, I'm very excited about this chat space because I finally have someone to turn to for answers...

Ok... that's a beginning. When you registered was there any information on how you become a full member here?

Thanks for responding by the way
