What and where is the paid side of this place? Is there anything good going on in there? Did I just miss it or is it by invitation only?

Patty it is under the "real florist forum" thread topics

You can read but you must pay to participate in anything you want to comment on.

I think this is WRONG since this is a password protected board to begin with.

This is not Freedom of Speech when one has to "pay to talk".
For GOD SAKE what is happening to you folks?

Oh...BLUE....

what is your "real" question??....as in real life, many people are just plain uncomfortable asking a private question......in public.

Ok MIKEY...

Why don't you post the PM I asked you in this forum....I don't mind since I speak from the hip.....

Go ahead I will not care and I will not give a crap.

I thought to ask you First before I was accused of being a PHIL.

Patty,

As a ILocalFlorist.com member, you need to register for a 6 month membership for $87.00...Boss and I will then change your membership to one year for the 6 month price...

The forum is filled with posts to help you with your business...from general business, marketing, computer and internet, tutorials and resources...

We are offering education, samples (where you can cut and paste to use in your shop), and hands on consulting when you post your needs...

Private consulting(off board) will also be available.

Think about it for a minute...Where else can you get a computer consultant, an internet consulant and a marketing consulant for one year for $87.00...Just post your concerns, if we can't help you, we will help find someone who can.

Here is what I asked Mikey...

Yes I did ask Mikey this in a PM so what? Geez I just wanted to know since some folks I talk to have asked me about this "pay to talk" section and what did I get asking this question?.....I can no longer get on the main page the "Real Florist Forum Treads" . What a sad day it is..

I asked Mikey, "I am dissapointed that you guys have a so called "private pay talk board". We florists who fend for ourselves to survive in this world of skimmers, skammers and the eveyday nonsence of discounted orders came to this board of "flowerchat.com" and had to register and be password protected YET you and mark(BOSS) have found a means to provide an even more secure site of talk via the "Real Florist Forum".

In my United States of America this would be considered DISCRIMINATION of Freedom of
Speech.

I just don't get you guy's....why would you shut out everyone unless you PAY MONEY TO TALK??????

Please explain Marks option as to PAY FOR TALK."

This is all I asked..I did not ATTACK this I was just asking because of folks asking me about what is really going on.

What is really going on? No one has ever explained what this Agenda is really about....

Did I get my user option views adjusted without notice? Do you folks think we would ask for membership here on Flowerchat.com thinking we are a PLOP?

Do you folks know a Real Florist such as Griff, Jerry and I and others who left the WS'S? Don't forget folks WE WERE ONCE MEMBERS of THEM. We just had enough of what was going on and went Independant.

OK Shel.....

you've done your disconnection routine, not without expectation, I might add...guess what...there may be a part of this whole picture that you DON'T fit into.
We still admire your tenacity...some others may not, so it's done in private, without sucker punch comments...by the way..have YOU contributed any funds, by way of PayPal to the wonderful FlowerChat Benevolent Fund??...it's used to send special sympathy tributes, to close members of this florists' chat board!!

Simple answer for Blue:

Two successful shop owners and an e-marketing wiz are actively and continually pooling their knowledge into a structured and useful collection of resources ready to be employed by a willing florist.

Countless hours have gone into gathering and preparing this information, and decades of experience are there to be shared. No, it's not free because it took time, effort, resources and intelligence to build the Real Florist forums.

FlowerChat is for talk - and that's always going to be free. The Real Florist forums all business and for those who are interested I invite you to visit www.RealFlorist.biz today.

That is a shame you feel that way Mikey. A Disconnection routine?

I have done plenty within my Flower community like set FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE SITE OF THE MARINE LAST WEEK IN SHELBY who DIED at a young age of 21 years who served in IRAQ who was the best friend of one of our delivery drivers. I had the pleasure of this young Marine coming into our shop ordering his Homecoming Flowers and Prom, Now I'm servicing the GRANDFATHERS FUNERAL Flowers.

PASSION? MY heart is BROKEN but I still try to bark out what is on MY MIND.

Sucker Punch?....Not me Mikey....I'm just and Independant Florist who has been sucker punched too many times with PROMISES.

P.S. now you call me SHEL?....your just a Mark

Ryan?

You said "Two successful shop owners and an e-marketing wiz are actively and continually pooling their knowledge into a structured and useful collection of resources ready to be employed by a willing florist."

Only two successful shop owners? I guess we being in business for 45 years means were just the NORM?

You guys are just about the stranges things I have ever encountered in this Florist business.

Shel,

Go back and read again ... I was referring to the people behind the Real Florist forums.

Oh, and don't worry ... You're far from normal :)
(Author's note: For those who can't tell, the last line was typed in jest with the intention of making a joke.)

The way I see it.

Here is 3 people who pooled their ideas and came up with a game plan that if we want to be part of this, we have to pay for this. Many companies are out there who are doing exactly what these three people are doing. They are offering a service at a cost. We don't have to participate if we wish not to.
THe only thing is that this program may not be for you, if that is what you feel. The cost is reasonable enough and it may be worth the time and money to sign up. We all did this when we joined a wire service or program.Sure we all have good ideas, experience etc that we can share and that is why the open forum stays open for these question.
I am still on the fence regarding this site, I need to know more about it and then I will make my own decision on what I WILL DO FOR ME.
It is like the political forum or DIrty forum, we have a option to enter or stay out.
I don't see it as a private club.

In any walk of life, consultants cost money...

Thanks Luc...

Exactly!!!

Much time, lot's of hours involved. Contacting others to gain knowledge, building spreadsheets, finding resources on the web, and bringing it all together for the betterment of OUR industry.

The open forums are just that...open. The Real Florist Forums are like you said, an addittion where things are a bit different. We offer confidential one on one assistance to those who request it, many things that should not be "public" for obvious reasons.

With that, there is a wealth of knowledge available, and it will only continue to grow as others add thier expertise to the threads. We are not saying we have all the answers, but we will take the time to find them. Too many florists do not have the time or knowledge to look for the things that may help them fix/build their business, and we take the time (usually after the kids go to bed) to do it for them.

Also, a portion the monies raised from the Real Florist Forums go toward the expense's Ryan incur's for the whole Flowerchat site, hosting, maintenence, buying software upgrades, etc. Also we are nearing the point of using paid advertising in industry publications to build membership not only in the Real Florist Forums, but Flowerchat as well. The more people we get in one place, the more knowledge we can pool, and bring to members., and also work to take back that which was ours to start with...this industry!

BLUE..what IS it with you.....

start a chat site of your own, PAY for it on your own, come up with some ideas on HOW to pay for it on your own, and find NEW knowledge on your own.
There are "some" days when you sound brilliant, and more days as if you've fallen on your head, getting out of bed, or crawling out from under that rock.
There are things that HAVE to be talked about, and there are things that HAVE to be done...decide for yourself, IF you're IN or OUT

Mikey, I never intended for this to get ugly...I'll just go away since i must be the problem. Do I have my faults? Yes I do.

My apoligies to anyone I have pissed off asking questions. Adios.

Yes, Blue the problem is YOU!!!! And the idiodic quote above shows just one of the reasons why. Sorry to be so blunt but get a grip man. If you don't like the paid section DON'T participate. I do not see why you have to constantly see the bad in everything. And I for one am sick of it (along with some others also). You seem to enjoy complaining and moaning over anything you possibly can.

Here is an idea!!! How about being more constructive for once. There is an idea.

And how about finding out about what you are talking about before calling it wrong and against freedom of speech LOL.

I wish there was an ignore button where we can just make it so we can not even have to look at your post if we want to. UPDATE!!! I found the ignore list!

Sorry for being so harh everyone but this is getting ridiculous
