Patriot Guard Riders

They are an amazing group of people. They led the processional at our close friends funeral along with 20 or so other of our friends that all ride together. It made for a fitting tribute. (First time I ever wore jeans and a bandana to a funeral but its what he would have loved.)

At whatever point we have more free time we plan to join.

same here, we had them when we lost a local son in Afghanistan, Nick Rousch. They accompanied his body from the airport and then when he was laid to rest.

It's not the outward appearance but whats inside.

I will let him know!!

It's pretty awesome - gives me chills everytime I hear about what they do - I'd love to be there and watch as they hold up that huge American flag to block those moronic protesters!

On a side note about those protesters - that clan from down south (no offense to anyone in the south, I love y'all!)...here's a short story on what a class act they are.

In a town south of us a few years ago, there was a man that beat his wife and 3 children to death with a baseball bat and then killed himself. This church was going to come and protest at this family group funeral (the funeral was held for the entire family, including the dad) because something about God punishes those that let greed and blah blah blah into their lives.

Those people are whackerdoodle do's!

Wow. I must be living under a rock. I didn't realize that people would actually protest a funeral, based on their own perception of right or wrong.
Something about that is just screwy, to interfere with a families greiving for a father or mother, son or daughter, brother or sister, uncle or aunt....
Sounds to me like the Patriot Guards are a blessing for those who need them, but what a sad statement about the protesters themselves.....
In my opinion, everyone deserves the right to greive their lost one, no matter what they did in life.
Isn't it funny how we are all so ready to judge.
There, but for the grace of God........
