The Pennsylvania Floral Industry Association (PFIA) hailed the vote taken by the Pennsylvania State Senate to unanimously pass Senate Bill 198, which requires truth in advertising for the retail florists in the Commonwealth.

Now if it just makes it thru the Pennsylvania House of Representatives...
.

Last time this was tried it passed the house and was blocked in the senate!

The Yellow pages lobby succeded in getting it blocked. The original bill in the house was introduced by House member Representative Matt Baker of Wellsboro, and passed the house easily. :)

Clark,
I could be wrong...I'm being told this is a bill that started and was passed in the Senate..."Senate Bill 198" that is just now going to the House Representatives...

This is a different bill than the one House Representative Matt Baker introduced...

So, if the House Representatives have passed a bill and the Senate has passed a bill, maybe they'll reach an agreement this year...

Let hope anyway...
.

Mlou; You are correct!

Matt Baker's bill was House bill 197 and it was 4 or 5 years ago. We will see Matt at the dedication ceremony for our new High School Sunday. He and Congressman Peterson will be raising the U.S. and State flags, and our son (the principal) will be raising the school flag. Going to be a busy weekend for us, but might get a chance to get a word in edgewise in support of the bill.
