I went to see Per Benjamin today at Myerscough College and omg, the man is pure genius imo.

He is one of Interflora's world champions and his work is absolutely fantastic. The structures and accessories he works with are fab. His work is very very decorative and i would recommend anyone go to see him if you get the chance.

I have not got any photographs just yet, my colleague Angela took the pics but as soon as i get them I will post them, you honestly should be inspired by them.

The best floral designer i have seen yet!! Anyway just thought i would share... anyone else seen him???

To be honest i have not even looked him up on the internet yet, but he has got a few books out. He is a really personable guy. Promise as soon as i get the pics they will be here for you to look at.

I guess I have been out of it way too long. I have never heard of this man. Tell me more.

Oh, I just looked at Dragonfly's message and it tells a lot.
I did see Life 3, so, I guess I must have seen him perform. What an amazing show they put on.

I love his name, Per Benjamin. Perfect name. There are a few in this world that bend nature, he appears to be one. I found 2 glorious floral designers in my run of the woods this morning reading some wedding blogs I had no idea ever existed. I need to better myself. I can see one photo and completely absorb it and alter several things I do. It has been over 9 years since I have been to a design show, and I realize I am still designing the same stuff I did back then. I can see the benefits of the AIFD organization.

I think we always have to evolve. Problem is that our hearts go beat, beat, beat, beat, ect. only so many of those left. right?

I am feeling old.

I took a class with him a couple of years ago at AIFD Symposium.
I think Palm Desert.
It was with the Life3.
Per Benjamin, Max van der Slius, and Tomas deBruyne.

They are very charactistic and work well together, along with good showmanship.

My favorite instructor was Tomas. I believe he's from Belgium.
He taught me a different technique to boutonniere making, that has saved me many, many hours since.

I have their bouquet making book.

I ment to writ "charasmatic"
And I think it is Max van der Sluis

Yeah he talked a lot about his Life 3 organisation and I am gutted now i did not do the workshop the day before with him.

I cant remember which one but one of the other members are demonstrating early next year there, i will definately attend.

There were some great designs that you could take to your window dressing and also some techniques that you could apply to every day bouquets which i intend to do. Also, it really does leave you inspired.

I must put aside some time to try out new ideas, once i get in the shop the job lists are endless and i find that i rarely have time to "mess about" with new ideas.

I agree with Cherrie, the Life3 group is probably the most thought provocitive design team around. They were a huge hit at AIFD several years ago.
Tomas is the most creative designer I have ever met, Per and Max are both great, I think they have a great appeal as educators.
You are lucky to have selected this education course to attend and be ,
cheers to you Palms.

lucky are those who'll get to the Symposium this year because Tomas De Bruyne is doing hands-on workshop.....i'm so jelous now...........though i bow to all three guys, he's defentely my favorite.....and than Max.....
