JB..are any of Glenda's family involved in this disaster? Prayers to all of those who are.....CHR..does the other half still have family there? It looks like they have really been hit hard....let us know if everyone is ok.

Thanks for asking but her family is way south of there. This happens every year in Manila. The poor build these shanty towns on the sides of these hills. The rains come and wahs them down the mountain and kill bunches of them, and as soon as it dries out they dig what they can out of the mud and build the shantys back on the side of the mountain again.
Sadness of poverty, they have nowhere else to go. A bit like the situation in New Orleans I guess.
