the record has been blown out of proportion, typical media, the phillies are not that bad of a team......every team is going to lose 10,000 games eventually, the phils are one of the oldest teams around, they go way back , so it was bound to happen sooner than later.
however they do need new ownership, somebody who gives them a chance to win a world series, the current ownership will never spend what they need to to get there!
of course they had it all figured out to have last nights game televised on espn, so they could rub it in to phils fans!:hammer:

ummm....are you forgetting that Tiger team a few yrs. ago, before Jim Leyland came to town? How many games did they win that year? That was one of the worst teams of all time ! I wish the Phils grabbed Leyland, they blew that deal and settled for Charley, who is a horrible manager,so you have the Phils to thank for getting the Tigers to the big game!:beer
