I see in a recent Dove Broadcast the statement; "Shops with eFlorist sites are seeing a steady growth in orders even in difficust economic times, and on average, shops get 9 phone orders for ever web order they recieve." Since this Broadcast was promoting eFlorist, I am assuming that they meant that their websites "contribute" 9 orders for every web order.

I know that this has been tossed around several times before, but 9 to 1 seems out of whack..... to my best guess for McAdams (maybe around 3 or 4 to 1)....and I know some have said a lot less.

I got an order from eflorist today ...how do I geet rid of a tf site..which I am assuming this was one...but have never seen
I am totally confused but it was a credit card so I took it then stopped to think...kinda normal here

I get a lot more phone calls vs. actual orders online, I wish that wasn't the case, but I still believe that people like to browse online and then call in their order.

I gage this by callers who say, I am looking at your website and want to order item xyz...

I am close to 5-8 calls for every order placed online.

I have started to ask callers why they chose to call rather than ordering online, and some say, they just would rather talk to a human being vs ordering online.

I think it depends on the age group too and the area you are in. Some people are just more comfortable ordering by phone around here.

Phone calls give you a chance to get to know your customer and make it more personal for them and us & also increase your chances of upselling the order too. We can also drum up a good conversation with them and add notes to Floristware POS that helps us understand the customers more for future orders too.

I would say I get 3 to 4 phone calls for every web site order. Although sometimes the customer sends it through FSN and still calls me to check on this and that.

I only have FSN for wire service. Don't really understand the technology, but I do notice that when I send an order through FSN, I seem to get an order the next day or so.

Hmmm I tried to find another (not real hard tho) and Findaflorist.com has links to your real site... but when I click on the images on THIS page, I get THIS.

Something's buggered up there...
