following up on the subject of posey pockets and bouquet sleeves

I had suggested using the small plastic container from the crystal lite

we took and made a pattern, placed it on an old wedding dress, over the applique so it is already sewn on.

everything on this is glued on except for the seam which we folded under and pinned it down with white pearl head corsage pins.

We stuck some bouquet thrown together out of the cooler so you could see how it would look. the stems hold the sleeve on, so you just have to slide it on for a finished look.

Very cool Heather!!! Thanks a lot for sharing :)

Very impressive! Thank you for taking the time to share this. What kind of glue did you use?

FYI - everyone my name is Kelly :) I dont know who Heather is :) lol

Anyway - I get the wedding dresses from ebay, goodwill , yard sales etc... but dont pay over $30.00 you can pick up dresses all the time from ebay for $30.00 with shipping.

I just used elmers spray adhesive, and i sprayed it directly on the plastic container. If you want to use plain satin, and add your own beads or rhinestones - I use the glue from joanns or walmart- its in a silver tube you cant miss it - i think its called didi 5200 - it dries super fast , clear and is strong.

Oh and I also made a pattern for the styrofoam cones, made them the same way. Make your bouquet and put the handle right into the styrofoam.

Sorry about that Heather. :) rofl :)

Heather is at Felicity Flowers :) WOOPS. hehehe that is what a 1 year old does to you. :)

Hey, thanks Again Kelly for sharing :)

LOL Brandon...

I wish I could take credit for that! Great job Kelly, lol! I actually was at my wits end trying to fit fabric on a bouquet for this weekend...TADA...bet you can guess what I am going to do now :)

Thanks Again Kelly!
Heather

Update

I first want to say how much more i enjoy this board than the "other" one :)

Anyway - I got a call from teleflora and they are writing an article on our bouquet sleeves and highlighting our shop. Not sure when it will be they still need to fax me the proof.

And we have had such a response from these we have decided to wholesale these. So anyone wanting to order just call me 989-862-4446 I can do any color or fabric. Satin, raw silk etc.. most bridal fabrics. The one i recently made has rhinestones all over it.

I hope those of you have have tried this - that it worked as well for you as it has us. And I hope to help those of you out who still haven't tried this item.

WoooooHoooooo *big hug* Hey this is great news!! It's nice to see your hard work paying off! :)
