Glossy Green oval shaped leaves that come directly off central vertical stem. usually only about 5-7 stems in the plant. Looks a tad like a cardboard plant in growth pattern and shape, but the small oval leaves are very glossy green and feel like a succulent. Has a more "architectural" appeal than a lush look.

Any ideas???
 
Zamioculcas zamifolia? Zz plant? Fits the description./...

does this plant grow an orange flower up the middle occasionally??
 
They are way cool plants - be careful to not overwater. I believe they may also be poisonous, though I don't remember anymore.

We have a big one in the shop, he's gorgeous and gets lots of comments.
