Please pray for my new nephew

'm an aunt again! The scary news is that Sean Michael just arrived, 2 1/2 months early and only weighs 1 lb 12 ounces. He's just a little tiny guy. The NICU pediatrician is very optimistic but said that the first week is critical. If anyone could take a few minutes to pray for our little guy, I would so appreciate it.

I will send a little prayer up for you, i am sure he is a little fighter and they have such great technology to help them along.

Just as a thought, a baby has just been born over here two days after her mother died. (c section) She is a similar weight and they are very confident about her so fingers crossed for both the little ones..

As the parent of a little baby who, after being born premature, spent three weeks in NICU, I know what you are going through. Keep the faith.

Thirty some years ago, a very good friend of mine had a daughter of similar weight. She's now a wonderful young lady and a mother herself. I hope your nephew has a bright, healthy future!

Your family is in my prayers. Also sending prayers for Mom to stay strong for her little guy.We became grandparents again Jan 2nd, it was a hard road for our daughter to carry to the due date, she made it, but the stress level around our house was there for 2and1/2 months. This little one has the love of all of of my family coming your way, stay strong.:hug:

I send my thoughts and prayers. But mo worries - he'll pull through. My grandson was 1lb 3 oz and he is 3 now and is hell on hockey skates now !! Just keep visiting,loving and talking to him. You have strength from all of us

My prayers are for all of you, most especially the tiny babe. My twins were born prematurely. It's a scary thing.
 
May Sean Michael grow stronger each day and be a tremendous blessing to all who know him as I know he already is.

Thinking of you and your whole family! I know he'll be okay. Can't wait to see pics, when he's a little stronger.
 
Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts. Sean is being removed from the ventilator this morning and put on a positive pressure mask to make sure his airsacs in his lungs remain open, the doctors have said that this is a very positive sign. He's very active, which they say is again a good sign.

I haven't met the little guy yet (hopefully I can take a peek sometime in the next two days) but my sister has told me that he's under lights in his isolette and wearing teeny tiny sunglasses, she says he looks like he's lying on a beach somewhere.

Sean's mom, my baby sister is 12 1/2 years younger than me and the youngest of eight kids. My dad died when she was 7 and my mom when she was 21. She's been strong through a lot of seriously traumatic stuff at very young ages and we're all immensely protective of her, she's a very special girl and will be a fabulous mom.

We will be praying for your nephew and family. I also know a little boy who weighed just over 1lb. and is now going to elementary school and doing great.
