In my area we have had 2 small children die recently from being beaten. The links are below. My son who is 19 knows the aunt of the 3 year old boy and knew the boy, Christopher, also. We are all horrified at the depth of this problem in our area. Children Services Agency was involved with both children several times before they were killed by their abusers. There is now a petition online to make stiffer sentences and guidelines for social workers to end this horrible abuse. Please read the stories and sign the petition. Thanks, Susan

I could not bring myself to read the articles. But I DID sign the petition.

Things like this make my skin crawl.

My heart goes out to the families in your area and all around the world that go through something like this.

I can do neither because I'm not a citizen of the U.S. However, my hope is that the petition does it's job and that law enforcement does theirs.
