We almost lost one of our twins when she was 5 weeks old because of Pyloric Stenosis. She actually stopped breathing at least once after we got her to the hospital after repeated dr. office visits with her being diagnosed as having a "bug." The condition occurs more often in boys than in girls (I don't know why), and, therefore, the doctors were not looking for that olive shaped hardness which indicates the condition. It's a scary thing to see a child so sick. We were also told that the other twin would have the same condition, and to be watching for it, but with God's infinite grace, that never happened.
My heartfelt prayers are with Jim and his precious family. Jimmy will be fine as soon as the surgery is done and the digestive track can work properly. May God bless them and hasten the healing.
BTW, our daughter is now an RN working in the High Risk Pregnancy Unit and in the Labor and Delivery Unit at our largest local hospital. She's a happy, healthy, independent young woman.
