Pretty Scary in Elliot Lake

I can't believe it, 2 murders with in a month in Elliot Lake. For the 50+ years htis town has been around we never had so many murder in the same year. Gee I don't think we had that many to count. But 2 happened in the last month. One a guy gave someone a beating for sleeping with his wife, charged with manslaughter and the other, 2 guuys aged 24 and 29 killed a 62 year old senior for no apparent reasons.

Just make me sick where this world is going to....

Can't look at someone or they think you have something on them and they dont like it.

Five or six years ago the government placed a social assistance couple in an apartment here in Bay Roberts; they weren't here a month when he killed her. That was the only murder in our town since 1865 and that one was believed to be the only one in approx 350 years.
 
Sorry Mikey can't agree with the death penalty, too many people who get accused just can't afford the high priced mouth piece that is able to guide a jury to the right conclusion , right here right now we have a Royal commission going on to find out why 3 guys in the last 15 years were wrongly convicted, just imagine if your sentence had been carried out. 3 put to death for something they didn't do, 2 wrongs still don't make any right! Although I do agree with increased sentences , especially here in Canada , 2nd degree murder 20years , time off for good behavior most you do is about 12 , not good enough.
 
No to death penalty, but yes to general population for Paul and Karla...

I'm sorry about the loss of those poor souls Luc....but put it in perspective...2 murders in 50+ years...some places in the world would appreciate such a low rate of violent crime.

Wasn't Karla released last year and took a new name? Still can't decide if she was a real sicko or another victim or Paul's twisted mind.
 
I have been reading some posts on another board (wholesale411.com) and they can get rather testy. So I thought at first that Paul and Karla were BOARDIES here! Time to shift the mind's gears to nicer comments!

I think she's up for release within the next year or so. I'm not entirely sure however. A travesty no matter how it is sliced. There are no nicer comments to be made about these two sub-human species.

Evergreen, there was a media ban on the trial of these two so I'm sure you aren't familiar with their crimes against children. No, not a nice comment to be had...

I really meant my thoughts should not be thinking that about other boardies. I am sure you are right about these two. Strange about your media bans. Well, maybe, after thinking about it, perhaps it works better your way.

Funny thing ,several media outlets including Rogers ,CBC , tried to access the trial files and including the video tapes they made of molesting and murdering those poor girls. They thought somehow that they should be released for the public good. Can't see how the video would do the public any good other than to titilate some of the morons who get off on sex and violence.
 
Yup it's ok to look at that crap, but let's not subject the public to a breast of a live woman or Lady Justice...

I don't believe in censorship, but, sensitivity to the families of those children should be protected from salacious media and people.

Victoria , I am open to seeing all the breasts that anyone wants to show me, actually the more you see the less response it creates.
 
:) I guess I just don't get all the uproar...it's a body part...that isn't shown being shot off at any hour of the day....much ado about nothing.
