If you go to Proflowers.com and click by the clock "need today" it will take you to a page which is all Teleflora arrangements. I've checked this out, verified it's true and confirmed the arrangements are Teleflora's.

So it begs the question about the their truth in advertising these days!! Sure, they may not deliver flowers in a box, but they certainly have been stealing business away from their member florists. I've also had it confirmed from a good friend that when she called Teleflora to question them about this and complained the poor man answering the phone said he didn't know anything about it. But she took him to the website and walked him through the arrangements!! Bet that "egg on his face' didn't feel so comfortable then !! Oh yea, she got some free months of membership to keep her happy.

It never ceases to amaze me the scummy levels these companies will go to to build their business. All the more reason why florists need to concentrate on their OWN websites, build their OWN customer bases and deliver their OWN unique style of arrangements and forget about feeding the hungry WS with their dollars.

Just thought you'd like to know... for some reason I'm feeling pretty stupid for not knowing this before now. Guess us old dogs can still learn new things. Makes me ask the question... what's BloomNet and FTD up to these days ?

Teleflora has been doing this for years, just like FTD.

Proflowers same day orders are sent as TF headquarter orders, and some may even be coming in from TF top members...who knows anymore...

Sure it does!

Teleflora says that if you order from them, your flowers will always arrive via a florist. That's true - they are not using ProFlowers for fulfillment.

ProFlowers, on the other hand, bashes florists, and then relies on the TF network for their same-day fulfillment.

ProFlowers is not TF, as we all know. They are separate companies, owned by separate companies ... it's simply a business relationship that doesn't make cents - it makes big dollars.

SpentFlowers -

There are numerous discussions here about the relationship of ProFlowers, FloristExpress.net (From You Flowers), and Teleflora.

Some shop owners refuse the Teleflora orders from ProFlowers/From You Flowers and others look forward to receiving.

The irony of PF and TF using attack ads targeted at each other's business models is a real eye roller, but Infinite is correct, the relationship makes both companies big dollars and satisfies the local florists eager for orders to fill their 'excess capacity'.

So what if the companies tell their shoppers florists' flowers are overpriced and half dead?

No HONOR amongst THIEVES!

Sad, but TRUE!

As my REAL FLORIST friend OZ put it:

" When the WHALES FIGHT, the SHRIMP get KILLED! " (or eaten)

All of d'OG's, OG's, WS's, and DROP SHIP FARM directs, are in a battle with each other now over, WHO CAN REACH THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL FIRST! (cheap cheaper cheapest)

With PRO, and when they have a problem cloaking their orders through FROM YOU, since florists are getting wise to that too, they re-tread those orders and re-CLOCK their orders through TF HQ. No HONOR there either!

Had a call yesterday from TEL HQ, she said. I have a DO NOT REPORT order for you, she said.

I said: AH COME ON, you're not really from TEL HQ, are you?

YES, I AM, she said! I'm calling you from TEL HQ with a DO NOT REPORT ORDER!

NO YOU'RE NOT! You're trying to give me a CLOAKED ORDER from FROM YOU or another one of those Order Gatherers, aren't you?

And the reason I know this, is because we haven't been a member of Teleflora since 2007.

OH, thanks! (click)

Got two more calls from the same gal, and in the last one, she told me that, she would give us a credit card at 100%.

OK, I said, let me have the Company Name and the card holder's name as it appears on that credit card.

I don't have that information, but someone will call you later with it.

NAW, sorry, but YOU'RE BEATING A DEAD HORSE then, and WEE CAN'T HELP YOU! (click)

As I thought about it later on, I should've taken the first DO NOT REPORT order and shredded it after I hung up with the woman.

That's what these SKIMMERS deserve to have happen, but since I have HONOR while they don't, I'll leave the THIEVES to their own demise.

TOTO, what's a Do not report order?

do not report orders are phoned in by TF head quarters and are not reported on the dove machine, they are phone ...orders
And just how do you get paid if you do not report it??? Hmmmmm...

No orders come in here unless they are electronic!

ah..got it master j..thanks...yes ok familiar with that.

It's a SUCKER ORDER Aileen.

TOTO, what's a Do not report order?

Normally, all WS orders would spit out from your printer, having been electronically sent through their systems.

A DO NOT REPORT ORDER is one which is being CALLED OUT by a call center perporting to be sending that order through a wire service.

We never took any of those back in the days for many reasons.

1. No HARD COPY data trail to cover out butts.
2. Could be a FRAUD.
3. Possibility of DENYING our REC (report of order filled).
4. Cloaked order from a d'OG, OG, or another SKIMMER.

And the BIG FLORIST KICKER: Many shops fail to report those orders to their wire service for payment even after they failed to check the WS statement when the credit for that order never showed up.

For many of these SKIMMERS, they consider that FLORIST MISTAKE as a BENEFIT to THEIR PROFIT CENTER. In fact, they BANK ON IT!

The failsafe is to tell all of these SKIMMER scammers that, they need to send you their order over your Mercury or Dove, otherwise, BE GONE!

After which, you can then, FORWARD THEM TO THE JUNKYARD!
