It's been a couple weeks now since 2yla started her first classes but so far no kids have come in...

Is it her hairdo or does it take a while for them to persuade Mommy to bring them in?

I'm inclined to think it's her hairdo.:beer

It 's getting toward the end of the school year -- kids are really, really busy & so are Mom & Dad.

My guess is that you will see quite a few of these rug rats as we get closer to Mothers Day, and Mom/Dad with Kid in tow are out shopping (or at least I hope so :) )

I don't think it is twila's do......
Maybe your persona has perceeded you..... Have you cleaned your cave lately?? :)

I wouldn't worry about it- I've been doing a thing with the middle school since I started where the kids are rewarded for their grades with coupons from local businesses and little perks from the school (drop your lowest grade, get a free pencil)
My coupon is good for 1 wrapped rose for 4.0, 2 wrapped carns for the next level and 1 wrapped carn for the last level-
very few kids came in that first fall.. I've been slowly getting kids in this year- 2x as many so far. just be patient

also kids and parents are super busy with all sorts of after school sports and dance classes etc etc..they barely have time for dinner together.

I started FFK in october. I have had about 3 students come to the shop. Yup, I said 3.

Don't worry about it too much bloomz, the program DOES work. Even if you don't have ANY kids coming in. As said, kids and parents are very busy people.

I have gotten many letters and phone calls from parents telling me how much their children loved the program and haven't stopped talking about "the flower lady"

We started getting orders from the schools and teachers themselves, ones that never ordered before. I have had some parents order because of the program.

The idea behind the program is to promote your business and flowers. Get kids excited about something and they talk and talk and talk about it, and then, the parents start listening and getting excited also.

Be sure NOT to put an expiration date on when they can come in to your shop. If they come in even a year later, let them.

Don't give up, it is working.

By the way, every child that comes into our shop is treated like a star!! and the parents LOVE it. I once sat on the floor with a little girl and played bunny family with our plush rabbits while her father was waiting for his arrangement to be made.

First of all I want to start off by saying this: You know I love you and Care about you"

When you do this, you have to ask yourself why are you doing it? Is it for the kids,to keep them off the street or what? Or that of getting them in the store? It is just that for the kids, and then the kids will drive mom and day crazy to come in the store, and the parents then will become your customers, and when the occasion say MD coming the little children will them want to come to the store, So say you have a special little flower thing just for the little kids for mom, Say the kids for flowers special 6.99>>or what every,,for them to come in,,,,So then after the little class send a Thank you to the parents for letting there child part take in the event, and give um one of those gift cards,,,,For the little child or there thank you gift for letting the little things come in,,,

The Gift Cards bears serious consideration....thanks
