Hi . Next weekend is our holiday weekend July 1, is on Saturday , i see the banks post office etc are all gonna be closed monday as well . What are your plans for this holiday. I am considering closing but letting Funeral homes know we are available . Would like to hear your take on this . Joanne
 
Stat holidays that fall on a Saturday are a tough call for retail, but for the most part, shops I know (where I work also) will be open on Monday.

We are open 7 days a week.....gotta make hay when the sun shines and the customers are out and about in the neighborhood.
We do try to spell each other off so no one person has to miss all thefun of summer!:)

THe mall here will be closed on Canada Day July 1st. I am glad I married my love of my life on that day, at least I know I will always have fireworks on our anniversary.
THe mall will be open on Monday and the beat goes on from there.

Friday I will have a wedding to do and a prom, so we will bebusy.
If there is a funeral, I usually the only one that comes in during a holiday.
(unless of course , it is a massive one).

We're open on the Monday as well ... closed on Saturday, though.
