I am thinking about getting a floral ap, but I'm just not sure. I understand there is quite abit to keeping them up just like a regular website, which I find quite time consuming! Also the money and hosting expenses. What do you all think? Have any of you gotten one and if so who from and what is the general cost? Do you think it is the right time to buy or should I wait? I'm wondering if I wait and maybe do it in the future, I'm not sure if the cost will go up or down. I know some say just have a Mobi site. I'd sure like to have your thoughts and good advice ;) Thanks!:mobile:

I attended the SAF seminar last week in Philadelphia.

The consensus there was that a mobile site is preferable to an ap.

I don't think an app for flowers is worth the expense at this time. Based on the initial expense, then the ongoing hosting fee, I seriously doubt that it would even be a break even proposition. You'd have to get a lot of orders via the app to make it worth while. Of those I know that have gotten it, the orders are not there and a few are not going to renew their contracts.

Filling out forms on a phone, is not a fun thing for the most part. And yes I know an app would pull data from your contacts, but look at your own phone, how many people do you have information on in your phone? I have over 300 contacts in my phone... only about 10 of those have an address, most only have a phone number and email address.

Also, most phones these days render websites just fine allowing people to shop from your site.
