I have no idea if any of you have seen this, but I'm hoping it exists!

I'm looking for a nice rainbow colored satin ribbon to use for bouts/corsages. The closest I can find to the colors as design is this http://www.aesopsroom.com/html/productdetailVB.asp?SKU=SL-65 ... LOL.

I haven't seen any at the local wholesalers, and initial online searching hasn't been very fruitful! If anyone can point me in a good direction, I'd appreciate it!

I don't know if you have a good sized craft store, but our Michael's usually carries it - I've bought it in grossgrain for use before.

My everyday suppliers don't have that type of ribbon, but a couple of good ribbon companies are Lion Ribbon and May Arts. May Arts especially has nice quality ribbons, in a huge variety.

Rainbow wedding? Cool.

Whooooole bunch of bouts and corsages for local gay pride events, actually :) Should be really cool!

Thanks for the advice.. I've never used grosgrain for bouts/corsages, never liked the texture. I actually found a 3/8" grosgrain ribbon in the right colors online.. ya think it'd work?

Maybe I'll order a roll and hope for the best in the meantime!

We use a narrow ribbon in the pride colors from Lion ribbon. Depending on how quickly you need it, let me check my supply and see if I can drop it in the mail for you if you are unable to find it....I beleive we have # 1 width...

Hey Sher, thanks for the offer, that'd be great! I'm going to take a trip to my two main local suppliers today (and Michaels, on Tracy's suggestion!), but if that turns up to be fruitless, I may be taking you up on that offer!

I'm logged on the Lion Ribbon site, searched "pride" (no results), and "rainbow" (10 results, mostly all teh same, not sure if any are what you were talking about - most narrow is #3.

Do you have a product number/name or anything?

Thanks in advance, I really, really appreciate it!!!

How about those crazy rainbow roses? That would be really cool!

The grossgrain - we mixed it with a wired sheer in primary colors, so it would give it some body. Grossgrain tends to be floppy, but I like the knobby woven texture.

Also, I think #1 is that very thin teeny ribbon, 1/8", but I'm not sure if that's what Sher meant.

I've seen em - may use them for something at some point, but I'm going pretty "traditional" with my work for them at the festival - indoor ceremony tent, outdoor ceremony set up with arbor, etc all in traditional shapes and colors (ivory, light pink and darker pink silk roses).

The rainbow ribbon is for a ton of silk bouts and corsages for people taking part in the mass commitment ceremony they're holding. White roses, with the kick of rainbow as a keepsake of the event.

The committee was really impressed with the eiffel tower vases and everything I'd done for their banquet a few weeks ago, so now I have a bit to live up to! LOL!
