I am finally going to take up again a skill that I hope will find a place in my floral design repetoire - the art of Calligraphy.

I have many skills - ... but other than sales, and flowers, I wont discuss them here.. LOL - Was trying to think of something else witty to say..
but too hot and tired.. I am JUST now leaving this stupid SHOP! Did I mention it was 110 today.. holding steady at 9pm.. at 98!

BTW I always wanted to learn Calligraphy.. never did though.. You can make nice place cards! :O)

With Tammie talking about 110 degree heat........I can recall a time when the shop's AC was out.......and it was the middle of hot summer.

Talk about hot and sweaty......OMG - getting ready for bed presented a whole new set of challenges, underclothes so stuck to the body due to sweat......pulled them off, felt like you were ripping hair and hide along with it.

I took several classes in Calligraphy in the late 70s. I don't use my skills as often as I should. The one script I really want to learn is called English Round Hand. It's so lovely.

i brought my painting things to work so when it's slow, i can pick up the art i used to enjoy so much.
I always wanted to learn to paint... not even learn.. just paint...

I have a very successful florist customer that does the calligraphy on all ribbons instead of using a ribbon printer. Her customers LOVE it. You can certainly use this skill!
