reflections of our avatars

Not a big deal but now I see most (but not all) of us have reflections coming off of our avatars with kind of a square thing around it, like it's a link. Weird. Wonder what is up with that?

Whew, again I'm glad it's not my eyes or my monitor. My brother gave me this flat screen thing and it's changed the perspective on my viewing.

It's a dandy little bit of JS. I can selectively apply it to any type of image on FC - Avatars in posts, avatars in profiles, profile pics in profiles, images added via the [ img ] tag, or even create a special BBcode to reflect only certain embedded images.

I don't like it.

It might look better without the border on the image, it moves it over ever so slightly and it doesn't line up. I've not made up my mind on it but leaning toward not caring for it.

I'm not fond of the way the page loads and looks normal and then everything jumps down because the reflection loads, which means you're no longer looking at the new post anymore but one or two above it.

Also, it takes an inordinate amount of time to load, I'm noticing. Half the page loads, long pause, then more, then another pause, then done. Is this what having a baby is like?

Nope.

Okay, it's official. I don't like the mirror thingy. Too long to load the page, and the way it bumps the page above where I'm reading is really a pain in the tuckus. I use the back button all the time to go back to a previous page, and it still takes too long to load on a previously viewed page. Seriously messing with my browsing speed!

Call me spoiled. Waaaahhhhh.
